Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Shopping Master processes the personal data of the merchants who use the Platform, the members of their teams and the visitors to our website, and how we process the data of each store's buyers on behalf of its merchant. It complements our Terms of Service.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of the data of merchants, their teams and visitors to Shopping Master's website is DevCloud Software, based in the Argentine Republic. Contact: sales@devcloudsoftware.com.
For the data of each store's buyers, the controller is the merchant that owns that store, and Shopping Master acts as a processor on its behalf. If you bought from a store built with Shopping Master and want to exercise your rights, we recommend contacting that store first; if you write to us, we will pass your request on to the merchant.
2. Data we collect
From merchants and their team members:
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in readable form), team role and preferred language.
- Store data: name, address, phone, logo and the payment details the merchant chooses to show its buyers, such as bank details for transfers.
- Plan billing data: handled by the payment provider used to charge the plan; we do not store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us, such as support requests.
From website visitors and Platform users:
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, date and time of access, server logs and error logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies, as explained below.
From store buyers, on each merchant's behalf: name, email address, phone, shipping address, orders, notes, reviews, newsletter subscriptions and, if they create an account with the store, their credentials (with the password hashed).
3. How we use data
- To provide the service: create and manage accounts and stores, process orders, send transactional emails (confirmations, shipping updates, passwords) and provide support.
- To bill plans and meet accounting, tax and legal obligations.
- To protect the Platform, merchants and buyers: prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, and detect and fix errors.
- To improve the service using aggregated usage statistics.
- To send merchants news about Shopping Master; they can unsubscribe at any time.
We process data based on consent, the performance of our contract with the merchant, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interest in keeping the Platform secure and running, as applicable.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf: DigitalOcean (servers and storage), Cloudflare (content delivery network, DNS and bot protection), Twilio SendGrid (email delivery) and Google (Google Analytics, to measure use of Shopping Master's website).
- The services each merchant chooses to connect to its store, such as Stripe, Mercado Pago, Mercado Libre, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), WhatsApp or its own analytics tools (for example Meta, Google or TikTok pixels), which process data under their own policies.
- Courts or authorities, when the law requires it.
- A successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, which must honor this Policy.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers, including the servers where data is hosted, are located in the United States or other countries. In those cases we put in place the safeguards required by applicable law, such as contractual clauses that ensure an adequate level of protection.
6. How long we keep data
We keep data while the merchant's account is active. When an account is closed, the merchant has thirty (30) days to export its information; we then delete it, except for data we must keep to meet legal, accounting or tax obligations, for the periods those rules require. Technical logs are kept for limited periods and backups are rotated regularly.
7. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures to protect data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, role-based access, backups and error monitoring on our own infrastructure. No system is completely infallible; if we detect an incident affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Your rights
You can request access to, correction, update and deletion of your data, object to certain processing and withdraw your consent by writing to sales@devcloudsoftware.com. You can also change much of your data directly from your account. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Depending on where you live (for example, in California, the European Union or the United Kingdom), you may have additional rights under local law, such as data portability or the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In Argentina, the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública is the authority responsible for enforcing Law No. 25,326 on personal data protection.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and browser local storage for:
- Essential functions: keeping you signed in, remembering the cart, language and other preferences, and protecting the Platform (for example, Cloudflare's bot check).
- Analytics: Google Analytics on Shopping Master's website, to understand and improve how it is used.
In the stores, each merchant may enable its own analytics tools, under its own responsibility. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential ones may stop some features from working.
10. Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data as merchants. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the current version on this page with its update date and, if the changes are material, announce them by email or in the admin.
